Unter dem Archon Diotimos; die Antigonis hatte diesiebte Prytanie inne, für die Lysistratos S.d. Aristomachosaus (dem Demos) PaianiaV Sekretär war; im Gamelion amalten und neuen, dem neunundzwanzigsten (Tag) der Prytanie;Volksversammlung; von den Vorsitzenden leitete die Abstimmung - - -S.d. - -osthenes aus (dem Demos) Xypete und seine Mitvorsitzenden.Beschluss des Volkes; Agyrrhios S.d. Kallimedon aus (dem Demos) Kollytestellte den Antrag: Da auch schon früher die Vorfahren desSpartokos Nutzen erwiesen haben dem Volk,und nun Spartokos von ihnen die Partnerschaft zu dem Volkübernommen hat und sowohl insgesamt dem Volk Nutzenerweist als auch speziell den Athenern, die zuihm kommmen, wofür das Volk der Athener sie auchzu Bürgern gemacht und sie geehrt hat mit Standbildernaus Bronze auf der Agora und im Handelszentrum, und auchmit anderen Ehren, mit denen billigerweise dieguten Männer geehrt werden, und ferner beschlossen hat, wenn jemandin das Reich seiner Vorfahren oder des Spartokos selbsteindränge, mit aller Kraft zu Hilfe zu kommen, zu Lande undzu Wasser; und da schließlich Spartokos, als er von der aus Athenangekommenen Gesandtschaft hörte, dass das Volksich der Stadt bemächtigt habe, sich über dieses Ereignisgemeinsam mit dem Volk gefreut und als Geschenk fünfzehntausendMedimnen Getreide gegeben hat und verspricht,auch in Zukunft Nutzen zu erweisen demVolk der Athener, soweit es in seiner Macht stehe, unddies tut in der Absicht, das Wohlwollengegenüber dem Volk zu bewahren, welches ihmvon den Vorfahren überkommen ist; – Damit nun auch in öffentlicherWeise das Volk Ehrgeiz zeigt für die, diein der Vergangenheit ihm wohlwollend gebliebensind, zu Glück und Heil!, wolle beschließen das Volk: dass manbelobige den König Spartokos S.d. Eumelos - - -- - - und bekränze mit goldenem Kranz gemäßdem Gesetz wegen seiner Leistung und seines Wohlwollens, das erstets gegenüber dem Volk hegt, und den Kranz verkündigean den Großen Dionysien bei der Tragödien-Aufführung; dass für die Anfertigung des Kranzes unddie Verkündigung Sorge tragen die Finanzverwalter;dass man auch ein Standbild aus Bronze von ihm aufstelle auf derAgora neben denen seiner Vorfahren und ein anderes auf derAkropolis; dass man, damit der König Spartokos auch erfahredie Beschlüsse des Volkes, wähle drei Männeraus allen Athenern, dienach ihrer Wahl aufbrechen und den Beschlussabgeben und das Wohlwollen melden werden, dasdas Volk für ihn hegt, und ihn darum bitten werden,dem Volk zu helfen, wie es in seiner Macht steht; dassman jedem der Gesandten das festgesetzte Reisegeldgebe; – Damit es auch eine Erinnerung an diePartnerschaft und die Ehrungen gibt, die ihm zu den bereitsbestehenden hinzugefügt wurden: dass der Sekretär,der während der Prytanie amtiert, diesen Beschlussauf eine steinerne Stele aufzeichne und auf die Akropolis aufstelle;dass die Finanzverwalter die entstandenen Kostenbegleichen.vacat 0,135im Kranz:Das Volk.

Agyrrhios son of Kallimedon of Kollytosproposed: since both previously the ancestors ofSpartokos have been of service to the People, andnow Spartokos has taken on this relationship withthe People and is of service both collectively to the People andindividually to those Athenians who cometo him, in exchange for which the Athenian People madethem citizens and honoured them with bronze statuesboth in the Agora and the market andwith other awards with which it is proper to honourgood men, and committed themselves, in the event someonechallenged the rule of his ancestors or of Spartokos,to help with full force both by land andby sea; and further, Spartokos, when on the arrivalof an embassy from Athens he heard that the People had deliveredthe city, was delighted at the successof the People and gave a gift of 15,000 medimnoiof grain, and in addition declaresthat for the rest of time he will be of service to theAthenian People as far as he is able, and he doesthis with the express purpose of safeguarding thegood will for the People passed downto him from his ancestors; so that the People may be seento be honour-loving towards those who are mindfulof their good will to it in earlier times,for good fortune, the People shall decide: to praisethe king Spartokos son of Eumelos - - -- - - and to crown him with a gold crown accordingto the law for the excellence and good will which he continuesto have for the People, and to announce the crownat the tragedy competition of the great Dionysia;and the board of administrators shall managethe making of the crown and the announcement;and to stand a bronze statue of him in theAgora alongside his ancestors and another on the acropolis;and so that king Spartokos knowswhat the People decided, to elect threemen as ambassadors from all the Athenians, whowhen chosen will set sail and both presentthe decree and announce the good will whichthe People has for him, and request himto help the People, as far as he is able; and they shall givethe agreed travelling expenses to each of the ambassadors;and so that there might be a memorial of the relationshipand the awards to him that have been added tothose existing already, the prytanysecretary shall inscribe this decreeon a stone stele and stand it on the acropolis;and the board of administrators shall allocate theexpenditure accrued.vacat 0,135in crown:The People.
